The Barron Hockey Academy's Blademill Skating Treadmill is made from a patented and specially lubricated, ice-like surface. The treadmill will tilt from 0 to over 20 degrees and will reach speeds of over 25 miles an hour. This treadmill has one of the biggest ice surfaces in the treadmill industry with 52 square feet of skating surface.  This not only allows the players to perform proper skating technique but also allows the trainer to actively demonstrate and correct all the biomechanical motions right beside the player. We don’t just give verbal correction but also visual with our hands on training. And with 85% of most people being visual learners this is a key tool in the Barron Hockey Academy training Regiment. 

The treadmill is a key tool in many skating aspects. Our goal is to promote a longer more powerful stride. Our athletes will enhance their breakaway speed; improve power in the first three steps, and gain conditioning and strength. The Treadmill along with the state of the art video analysis software will get you ready for the next level.

During each treadmill session, player’s skills are captured on digital video for on-the-spot analysis with state of the art software and computer system.   Players receive instant feedback from the coach and computer to create the ultimate and unique training atmosphere. This includes  Personal feedback from the coach including ‘on screen’ tools to help guide players in correcting or improving form and technique.

The Barron Hockey Academy Training process is very interactive, and educational for players of all ages and skill level.  Our process ultimately combines high caliber instruction with 21st century technology.
